{"id":46,"date":"2014-01-28T21:11:49","date_gmt":"2014-01-28T21:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wisdomcollective.ca\/wp\/?p=46"},"modified":"2014-01-28T21:26:03","modified_gmt":"2014-01-28T21:26:03","slug":"resilient-leaders-have-the-k-n-a-c-k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/wisdomcollective.ca\/wp\/?p=46","title":{"rendered":"Resilient Leaders have the K.N.A.C.K."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You\u2019ve taken the leadership training and read the books.\u00a0 So why haven\u2019t you implemented those things you were so jazzed about?\u00a0 If it was easy, you\u2019d have a perfect<a title=\"leadership score\" href=\"http:\/\/wisdomcollective.ca\/wp\/?p=23  \" target=\"_blank\"> leadership score <\/a>already.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0FACT: Being really busy means you have less time\/energy to implement new approaches.<\/p>\n<p>Good news: \u00a0you don\u2019t have to keep trying to do it on your own.\u00a0 Pick a quality you want to express more of and join a peer mentor group with others who are also getting the K.N.A.C.K. of<a title=\"Resilient Leadership\" href=\"http:\/\/events.constantcontact.com\/register\/event?llr=p7aq6geab&amp;oeidk=a07e8nklkckf0313903\" target=\"_blank\"> Resilient Leadership. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The K.N.A.C.K. of Resilient Leadership<\/p>\n<p>K- \u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of Human Nature<\/p>\n<p>Resilient leaders must understand why smart people do irrational things, personality type differences and how to inspire, resolve conflict with and motivate them each differently.\u00a0 Leaders today are simply expected to have solid knowledge of strategy and their industry, and gone are the days of ignoring the emotional side of team leadership.\u00a0 Do you understand people well enough to give what your team needs from you to perform at their best?\u00a0 Knowledge of Human Nature is quite learnable.<\/p>\n<p>N- \u00a0\u00a0Non-Reactive<\/p>\n<p>Impulse control and self-management require self-awareness and stable confidence.\u00a0 Resilient leaders act powerfully when needed and can be spontaneous, \u00a0but responses are not driven by their reptilian brain.\u00a0 Reflexes are often grounded in past experiences and normal fear which may not serve well in an organisational context. \u00a0Becoming Non-Reactive is quite learnable.<\/p>\n<p>A-\u00a0 \u00a0Action-Oriented<\/p>\n<p>Resilient leaders know when to move fast to take action versus when the ideal action is to stop and reflect.\u00a0 In either case, the action is chosen and purposeful.\u00a0 Planning properly and attending to details are essential;
